We are seeking a kai-mahi to work on our Ngatiwai language revitalisation project. This is a fixed term 6 month position and will be based in Whangarei.
Applicants must have
- Te Reo Maori and the Ngatiwai mita
- A connection to and knowledge of the hunga kainga who reside along the Ngatiwai coast
- line around our marae.
- An ability to write I create a curriculum
- A proven ability to teach Te Reo Maori
The main tasks will be to bring together the Ngatiwai Language Strategic plan, and to create a
language regeneration program to be implemented on some of the Ngatiwai marae.
