As of 10am today, Wednesday 25th August), Te Tai Tokerau Police have modified their checkpoint approach across the districts Southern Border. This is about giving our communities reassurance that there is no unauthorised access into Te Tai Tokerau and to be better prepared for any alert level changes. Anyone attempting to travel into Te Tai Tokerau should expect to be stopped and asked for proof of essential travel.
Check point Locations are:
- SH1 Intersection with SH12
- Mountain Road, Kaiwaka, 50 metres in from SH1
- Cove Road, by Bream Tail Road (Sth of Lang’s Beach)
