Hauora Māori

The Ngātiwai Trust Board extend a huge mihi to all the hauora Māori health providers and the amazing mahi they are doing for testing and vaccinations throughout Aotearoa.

They go to work everyday knowing the risks they put themselves in to complete this important mahi for the better of all New Zealanders. Our way to repay them is to get ourselves and all our whānau vaccinated so we can keep all our communities safe.
Yesterday we went down to see the team at Ngāti Hine Health Trust at their Torongare Vaccination Centre on Walton St, Whangārei. We saw first hand the amazing processes and procedures they have put in place for whānau to come in to get their vaccinations safety.

Ngāti Hine Health Trust CEO Geoff Milner told us yesterday \”We have seen a spike in demand, therefore, we have extended and opened our Torongare vaccination centre here in Whangārei everyday through until next Saturday (excluding Sunday) as well as continuing to operate our mid north clinic in Kawakawa.\”

\”Come on down here, for Te Whānau Māori and Pasifika no bookings are necessary, Ngāti Hine Health Trust are keen to make sure access for whānau katoa, no bookings needed for entire families.\”

\”If you have got a booking it will be faster to get through, but if you haven\’t – nau mai haere mai.\”

We encourage you to go to Ngāti Hine Health Trust, Ki A Ora Ngātiwai, Te Hau Awhiowhio o Otangarei

Trust or one of the many other options you have to go to get your vaccination.
